Since 1963, the President of the United States has annually issued a proclamation announcing National Small Business Week, which recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners. More than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and they create about two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year.
The City of Vandalia, Illinois will be celebrating National Small Business Week April 30 - May 6, 2023. Mayor Ricky J. Gottman and Vandalia City Council members will be recognizing the efforts of our local, Small Businesses, who have been nominated by members from our community. The Small Business Award effort is focused on involving residents of our community in celebrating local businesses and honoring the efforts of business owners whose passion is providing goods, services, products, jobs and have enhanced the quality of life going above and beyond in contributing to the success we’ve experienced as a community.
Winners will be awarded at City Hall during the May 1, 2023 Vandalia City Council Meeting at 6:30pm.
