Camping - Electric Hookups And Primitive
Vandalia Lake provides high quality camping facilities for overnight camping. The campground includes sites with electric outlets, modern shower with flush toilets, and a dump station for recreational vehicles. Campgrounds are open from Mid April through Mid October.
Camping Fees
Camping Season is Mid April - Mid October (weather permitting)
Electric Hookup - $20.00 per night per sleeping unit
$15.00 for persons 65 yrs and older - Monday thru Thursday only, Holidays do not apply
Block of 20 nights: $350.00
Primitive Camping - $15.00
Dump Station - Campers Are Free
Swimming At Vandalia Lake Beach
Swimming is available at Jaycees Beach which features a large sloping sand beach, plus a modern beach house and showers. SWIMMING IS “AT YOUR OWN RISK” AS NO LIFEGUARDS ARE PRESENT.

Swimming Season is from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day
Daily 10AM - 6PM, weather permitting
Also open Holidays 10AM - 6PM

Annual Camping Lease Lots (North side of Lake)
These lots are leased by individuals and renewed each year. In order to be placed on the list for these lots, you must contact Vandalia City Hall at 618-283-1196. No lot can be sold without being placed on a list.
